Our Lifetime Diamond Guarantee reflects our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and the ongoing care of both our clients and their jewellery. Furthermore, our Lifetime Diamond Guarantee is offered completely free of charge — because we believe this standard of care should come with every eligible piece, not as a paid add-on.
What Our Guarantee Includes
Greg Neill & Son Fine Jewellers offers a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults on diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, and custom diamond jewellery purchased in-store or online with a value of $2,000 or more.
A manufacturing fault is defined as a defect arising from the production or construction of the piece — including structural failure of a setting, faulty metalwork, or the loss of a stone directly attributable to a manufacturing defect.
If a manufacturing fault occurs, we will repair or replace the affected piece at no charge, at our discretion.
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
This guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Accidental damage, including knocks, drops, or impact
- Loss or theft of the piece or any stones
- Damage caused by improper use, storage, or care
- Modifications, repairs, or alterations carried out by a third party not authorised by Greg Neill & Son Fine Jewellers
- Damage resulting from exposure to chemicals, cleaning products, or extreme conditions
- Loss of side stones or accent diamonds not directly attributable to a manufacturing fault
Eligibility & Conditions
To remain eligible for the Lifetime Diamond Guarantee, the following condition applies:
The piece must be presented for a complimentary inspection at Greg Neill & Son Fine Jewellers every six (6) months. This condition is communicated at the time of purchase and forms part of the guarantee agreement.
Failure to maintain the required inspection schedule may affect eligibility for guarantee claims. Clients are encouraged to contact us to reschedule if an inspection is missed.
What’s Included in Your 6mth Inspection?
Each inspection is complimentary and includes:
- Professional polish and ultrasonic cleaning
- Inspection of claw wear and stone security
- Check of centre diamond claw alignment and shank roundness
For white gold pieces, complimentary rhodium plating is provided once every twelve (12) months.
Complimentary Resizing
We understand that finger sizes can change over time. One complimentary resizing is available every ten (10) years to ensure your ring fits comfortably.
Resizing is subject to the design and construction of the piece. We will advise if resizing is not possible without compromising the integrity of the setting.
Which Pieces Are Covered?
The Lifetime Diamond Guarantee applies to diamond jewellery purchased directly from Greg Neill & Son Fine Jewellers in-store, with a purchase value of $2,000 or more. This includes engagement rings, wedding bands, and custom made jewellery meeting this threshold.
Pieces purchased online or through third parties are not eligible unless otherwise confirmed in writing at the time of purchase.
Your Statutory Rights
This Lifetime Diamond Guarantee is offered in addition to, and does not replace or limit, the consumer guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under the ACL, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Nothing in this guarantee excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy to which you may be entitled under Australian Consumer Law.

This guarantee is an express warranty under the Australian Consumer Law and is offered in addition to statutory consumer guarantees.
